Cougars Conquer Conquistadors

Clearwater came out strong against a strong Pasco Hernando team and won in three close sets 25-22; 27-25; 27-25. The strong blocking of the CCC team helped shut down the powerful offense of PHCC while on the offensive side Emma Kile led the team with a total of 20 kills out of 22 attempts. Her final kill of the match broke the Clearwater Christian College all time total kill record which had been held by Jenny Goodson since 2004. Kile now has 2364 career kills with several more matches left in the season.

According to Coach Denny, "We are all so happy that Emma has reached this milestone. I never thought we would see Jenny's record broken, but Emma did it tonight. Emma has contributed in so many ways on our team, but what I appreciate the most is her heart for God. She is a fine example of a Christian student athlete."

With this big win, the Cougars go 27-6 for the season and will travel to Lake Sumter Community College over the weekend to play in another competitive tournament.
