Cougars Bounce Back to Win Second Match of Pasco Tournament

After dropping their first match of the season at the Pasco Hernando tournament, the Lady Cougars bounced back to take Pensacola State College in three straight sets on Friday night. Coach Denny was thrilled in how well the team came back after the earlier loss. "Pensacola has a solid team with a winning record so to be able to beat them in three straight really did help us get back into the tournament."

The Lady Cougars had a balanced offensive attack with all hitters contributing. Kile led all hitters with almost six kills per game while the two Bucklin sisters each had three kills per game and Georganna Little and Amanda Ison each added two kills per game. Sarah Wild led the team with solid setting averaging almost 12 assists per set along with a 46% efficiency rate. The Cougars are now 12-1 for the season and will continue play at the Pasco Hernando tournament tomorrow.
