CCC Athletics Now on Web

CCC Athletic Director James Whitaker recently announced the successful launch of home game webcasting for all menís and womenís basketball games through an agreement with Webcast America, a website that specializes in streaming sports games for high schools and colleges across the country. The first broadcast of the menís and womenís basketball games against Trinity Baptist College and Pensacola Christian College was well-received.

Alumnus Dan Wareing said, ďI viewed Saturday nightís game against Pensacola from home since I was recovering from the flu. The picture was clear, and I was able to see and hear everything as if I was personally at the game. I believe it will be a great way of staying connected when you canít be there in person.Ē

To start, the college will only broadcast home basketball games, but we anticipate both the full coverage of all Cougar Athletics in the near future and the addition of a sports announcer for selected games. The webcast will be a great tool for parents, alumni, and prospects who live afar or canít be there in person. In addition, Webcast America will host an archive of all games.

To access the site, fans can click on the Web America icon on the athletic landing page on the main CCC website, or go directly to www.webcast50.com and enter Clearwater Christian College on the search line.

One unexpected benefit from the trial broadcast was the receipt of an e-mail message from an alumnus/former CCC basketball player serving as a missionary in Hungary. He was able to watch the CCC vs. Trinity Baptist College game live in Hungary. Unfortunately, with the time change, it was 1:45 a.m. But he didnít care--itís Cougar Basketball.
