CCC Athletic and Spiritual Excellence Awarded
(6/15/10) On Friday, June 4, the National Christian College Athletic Association presented Clearwater Christian College with the highly sought after Sports Ministries Award for the 2009-2010 athletic year.

Men's Soccer Season Schedule Announced for 2010
(5/12/10) The Clearwater Christian College men's soccer team, the defending NCCAA D-II National Champions, will face a challenging 18 match schedule in 2010.

Cougars Receive Individual Accolades from National Associations
(1/11/10) Following the first soccer national championship in school history and the fourth straight volleyball national championship, the postseason accolades continue to roll in for the Cougars. The CCC athletic department is pleased to announce the national recognitions of several players on the men’s soccer team and the women’s volleyball team.

Clearwater Wins First Soccer National Championship
(11/17/09) Clearwater Christian College defeated Southeastern University 2-1 to win the NCCAA II National Championship. Tyler Spraul, captain and South Region Player of the Year, scored an amazing goal in overtime to earn the first men’s soccer national championship in school history.

Clearwater Wins in Penalties to Advance to National Championship Game
(11/14/09) Clearwater Christian College defeated Ohio Christian University 4-3 in penalty kicks in the NCCAA National Semifinal match in Kissimmee, Florida to advance to the National Championship Game on Monday night.

Cougars Defeat Northland to Move into National Semifinals
(11/14/09) Clearwater Christian College defeated Northland International University 3-1 at the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida to move into the NCCAA II National Semifinal.

CCC Junior Receives NCCAA Athlete of the Week Award
(11/5/09) Junior Tyler Spraul was named Student Athlete of the Week by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) for the week of October 26 – November 1, 2009.

Cougars Fall Short in Tuneup for National Tournament
(11/3/09) Clearwater Christian College travelled to Warner University to face the Lions in a tuneup for the upcoming National Tournament. The Cougars came into the match riding a 13 game unbeaten streak and were hoping to upset the Lions, the defending champ in the tough NAIA Sun Conference.

Cougars Beat Southeastern to Win Regional Championship and Advance to NCCAA II National Tournament
(11/1/09) Clearwater Christian College defeated the host team Southeastern University 1-0 on Saturday night to win the NCCAA II South Region Championship in Lakeland, Florida. The Cougars were ranked #3 in the nation coming into the match, and the Fire were ranked #7. The game winning goal came in the 40th minute of the first half when Carl Lassegue scored off a through ball from Tyler Spraul to put the Cougars in command.

Cougars Defeat Atlanta Christian to Advance to Regional Championship
(10/30/09) The men's soccer team defeated Atlanta Christian College by a final score of 4-2 to advance to the NCCAA II South Region Championship over at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. The Cougars advanced to the championship game where they will face the host school Southeastern at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 31.

Cougars Continue Tournament Success Against Kentucky Christian
(10/24/09) Atlanta, GA- Clearwater looked to continue their dominance in the ACC Invitational Tournament in their final match against Kentucky Christian. CCC, who was favored in the match, came out strong, keeping Kentucky on their heels with plenty of scoring opportunities.

Cougars Dominate Ohio Christian
(10/22/09) Atlanta, GA- Clearwater continued its weekend matches at the ACC Invitational Tournament with a national showdown with Ohio Christian. This was an important game for CCC, ranked 3rd in the nation, as they matched up with, Ohio Christian, the top team in the Mid-East region and currently ranked 10th nationally.

Cougars Travel to Atlanta for Match Against Atlanta Christian
(10/21/09) Atlanta, GA- The Cougars traveled to Atlanta, Georgia this weekend for 3 matches against some very tough opponents. First up was the match against Atlanta Christian College. Clearwater came out on the attack which worked to their advantage as ACC’s game plan was to sit back and counter attack.

Cougars Take Winning Ways on the Road
(10/15/09) Temple Terrace, FL- The Cougars traveled to Temple Terrace on Thursday, October 15, for a match against Florida College. CCC was looking to continue the success they had against FC earlier in the year, a 2-0 victory at home, and continue their dominating play.

(10/14/09) For the first time ever, Clearwater Christian College held an evening soccer practice on campus… under lights!

Cougars Battle Lions in Great Defensive Match
(10/10/09) Clearwater, Fl- The Cougars hosted Emmanuel College on Saturday, October 10, at Glen Oaks Park. Coming into the game Clearwater recognized that Emmanuel is a strong NAIA/NCCAA1 school.

Cougars Continue Winning Ways Against Toccoa Falls
(10/3/09) Clearwater, FL- Toccoa Falls College traveled to Clearwater for a regional match against the Cougars. The first half of this game was dominated by Clearwater’s offense play and attempts to score first.

CCC Battles Atlanta Christian to a Tie
(10/2/09) Clearwater, FL- The Cougars hosted Atlanta Christian on Friday, October 2, at Glen Oaks Park. Clearwater’s game plan was to come out on the offensive and look for early opportunities to score.

Cougars Take Winning Ways to Naples
(9/29/09) Naples, FL - The Cougars traveled to face Ave Maria in a tough match up on September 29. This had the makings to be a very tough, physical game, between two very skilled teams.

Cougars Continue Attack against Piedmont Baptist
(9/25/09) Clearwater, FL - The Cougars hosted Piedmont Baptist College on Friday, September 25 at Glen Oaks Park. Clearwater defeated Piedmont earlier in the season by a score of 12-0 and looked to build upon that impressive performance.

Cougars Win Again
(9/20/2009) Clearwater continued on their three game road trip in Georgia with a tough match up against Toccoa Falls. The biggest part of CCC's game plan this season has been their defense.

Cougars Open Up Road Trip
(9/19/2009) The Cougars traveled to Atlanta Christian for a match against Piedmont Baptist College. Going into this game Clearwater was looking to shake off a heartbreaking 1-0 loss against SEU and get back to the winning ways they showed at the beginning of the season.

(9/15/2009) The Cougars traveled to Lakeland, Florida for their second match against rival Southeastern on Wednesday, September 16. The crowd gathered for this much anticipated match up between these regional rivals.

(9/9/2009) The Cougars hosted Florida Memorial College on Tuesday, September 8, at Glen Oaks Park. This was a highly anticipated match against a very strong NAIA opponent.

Cougars Stay Hot, Shutout Rival Southeastern
(9/5/2009) On Thursday, Clearwater’s regional rivals, the Southeastern Fire, came to town for the first match up of the season. The Clearwater crowd was hyped for this rivalry matchup and showed up in droves to support their team.

Cougar Spotlight



Playing soccer in college is such a gift that God has given me. I love playing soccer. Even before Christ saved me, soccer was my escape when things were rough in my life. It was everything to me. But now that God has so gloriously captivated my life, He's letting me use my love for soccer to help me love Him more. I always think ahead to the future, and I just know that some of my best college memories will be from playing. God has also taught me so much through playing. Probably the biggest thing being, to just step back and realize that every game could be of eternal significance, if I would just play it that way. To play for Him. Lessons, life long friendships, and good times.
