Men's Basketball News- Men's Basketball: Season Preview (10/28/2008) Entering his second season as the head coach for the men’s basketball team at CCC, James Whitaker has very high expectations for the team. “With 9 returners and several talented newcomers, we should be very competitive with all the teams on our schedule.”
- 2nd Annual Midnight Madness Event Kicks off Basketball Season (10/8/2008) On October 1, CCC kicked off the 2008-2009 basketball season with an exciting Midnight Madness exhibition game attended by over 300 students and staff.
- CCC Athletes Recognized at Awards Chapel (4/24/2008) The men's and women's basketball awards and men's baseball awards were presented at the Spring Athletic Awards Chapel on April 21, 2008.
- NCCAA Recognizes CCC Athletes (3/4/2008) The coaches from the NCCAA II south region released their 2008 all-region awards during their regional tournament activities.
- Cougars Lose Heartbreaker in Regional Championship (3/01/08) The Cougar basketball team finished off their season with a double-overtime loss to the #3 seeded Chargers of Atlanta Christian College.
- Cougars Knock Off #1 Team in the Nation (3/1/08) On Friday evening, February 29, the Cougars upset the #1 team in the nation, Wesley College, in the regional semi-final game.
- College Hosts High School Basketball Tournament (1/22/2008) Eight schools from all over the Southeast participated in a high school basketball tournament hosted by Clearwater Christian College on January 17-19, 2008.
- Basketball Team Interacts With Children at Shriners' Hospital (1/12/08) The Clearwater Christian College men’s basketball team travelled over to the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida on Monday, January 7 to spend time with the children there in the hospital.
