Golf Season Review (2009-2010) We were able to meet our goal of rebuilding the team after losing 3 of our five starters. Gallory Listort, Micah Youmans, Lucas Morris, Bradon Dollar, and Ryan Jones were our primary starters this year. We shot our best team total at the start of the year. This was the best team score in the history of the golf program at CCC. However, we were very inconsistent throughout the season. Unfortunately we did not qualify for the NCCAA National Golf Championship.
Our theme for the year was do all to the glory of God. I am happy to report our testimony was maintained throughout the season. We always remember our testimony reflects on us personally as well as our God and school.

I love being able to play sports at CCC. It is a fun, competitive environment as an added bonus to the great college atmosphere. Being able to compete as a Christian athlete is an awesome opportunity to be a continued testimony of Jesus Christ to those we compete against. more...CCC athletics does an excellent job of putting Christ as the priority for every aspect of the sport as well as making it fun for each athlete. I try to represent Christ and the college in a professional manner so that others may see my testimony and be influenced for the cause of Christ. Being an athlete definitely helps me stay organized and balanced in managing my time between school work, time with friends, and team schedules. Team devotions and group discussions are an important aspect of our team, and has been an encouraging part of my life. The opportunity to compete with fellow Christians is an awesome privilege and is a lot of fun. |
