Cougars Eliminated in Extra Inning Thriller
(4/28/12) Clearwater lost in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon, falling to Florida Christian College after a rain suspended game. The Cougars trailed 5-2 when the game resumed where it left off, and kept the game scoreless until the bottom of the seventh when freshman Manny Chmielewski hit a three run home run to tie the game.
CCC Loses Regional Opener
(4/26/12) The Cougars lost 11-7 on Thursday afternoon in the NCCAA DII South Region opener on the campus of Toccoa Falls College. The Cougars had an early lead, but a six run inning for Florida Christian College helped lift them to victory.
Cougars Lose at Pasco
(4/21/12) Clearwater lost Saturday afternoon's game at Pasco-Hernando 9-2. Sophomore Chaz Russo led the Cougars offensively, going 3-4 on the day. Junior Kyle Leja took the loss for Clearwater, throwing five innings, and allowing five earned runs.
St. Pete Wins 1st Mayor's Cup in Pitchers Duel
(4/20/12) Clearwater Christian College squared off against St. Pete College at Bright House Stadium on Friday night for the Mayor's Cup. It proved to be a pitchers duel, with the final score of 3-0. The Mayor of Clearwater, George Cretekos, was present as he delivered the ceremonial first pitch.
Fire Score Early and Quiet Cougar Bats
(4/17/12) Clearwater Christian College traveled to Lakeland on Tuesday evening for their last midweek regular season game. The Cougars looked to even the season series, as the Fire won an extra inning affair on March 27. The Cougars couldn't get anything going offensively, collecting only two hits.
Suns Win Season Series, Take Game Three of the Weekend
(4/14/12) With the season series tied at 2-2, Florida Christian did just enough to take game five. The Suns scored five runs in their last two at bats, giving themselves a comfortable lead, winning 6-2.
Bats Provide Runs, Leja Picks Up Win
(4/14/12) Clearwater bounced back in the second game of the weekend winning 10-7. Junior Kyle Leja took the hill and picked up his third victory, throwing 6 1/3 innings, giving up five earned, and striking out three. Senior Zack Weber collected three hits and had 4 RBI's on the day. He also scored twice.
Suns First Inning Captures Win
(4/13/12) The Cougars traveled to Florida Christian College for the first of a three game series on the weekend. The Suns pounded out ten hits and collected thirteen runs in the first inning, which was enough for the victory in game one.
Cougars Win Midweek Game at Eckerd
(4/9/12) Clearwater won the rubber match game on Monday night versus Eckerd College in a trio of midweek games this season. The Cougars had thirteen hits and were issued twelve free passes on the evening leading to a 12-7 victory.
Skyhawks 14 Hits Lead to Victory Over Clearwater
(4/3/12) Point University, formerly Atlanta Christian College, won Tuesday's match up 15-1 in College Park, Georgia. Fourteen base hits and thirteen free passes led the Skyhawks offense on the afternoon.
CCC Drops Nightcap
(4/2/12) Senior Ethan Barba homered in the game, but it wasn't enough as the Cougars dropped the nightcap against Toccoa Falls College 11-3.
Eagles Clip Cougars
(4/2/12) Toccoa Falls College defeated Clearwater 6-1 in the front end of the doubleheader on Monday afternoon. Eagles starter Justin Keys picked right up where he left off the last time he faced Clearwater, throwing another complete game.
Fire Win In Extra Innings
(3/27/12) Southeastern University traveled to Clearwater Tuesday evening for a midweek game at Frank Tack Park. The game lasted over four hours in an extra inning battle.
Cougars Beat Tritons Behind Turner's Gem
(3/20/2012) Clearwater traveled to Eckerd College on Tuesday evening for a midweek game, and came out on top winning 3-1. Freshman Henry Turner picked up his first collegiate victory after throwing a complete game, scattering six hits, and allowing just one run.
TFC Wins Nightcap
(3/17/12) Toccoa Falls pounded out sixteen hits and scored fifteen runs en route to a 15-4 victory to take the series for the weekend.
CCC Evens Series in Game 2
(3/17/12) The Cougars broke out with ten hits and five runs in the first game of the double header on Saturday afternoon. The five runs were plenty for starting pitcher Kyle Leja, who picked up the win.
Eagles Snatch Cougars In Game One
(3/16/12) Toccoa Falls catcher Adam Reynolds hit a home run in the top of the eighth inning, giving Toccoa Falls a 5-3 lead. They didn't look back, scoring two more in the ninth taking game one 7-3.
Cougars Sweep Weekend Series
(3/10/12) Clearwater took game three of the weekend, sweeping the series, and extending the win streak to four games. Senior Brent Kirkley picked up his second win of the season, throwing six innings, allowing two earned runs, and striking out six.
Leja Dominates Eagles, Cougars Win
(3/10/12) Junior Kyle Leja took a no hitter into the last inning, until Eagles third baseman Cody Hyden hit a single up the middle, which also broke the shut out. Leja threw a complete game, giving up one hit, one run, and had five strike-outs.
Cougars Take Game One Friday Night
(3/9/12) Clearwater beat Alice Lloyd College in Friday night's game at the Joe DiMaggio Complex 19-6, after pounding out twenty one base hits, and receiving 7 2/3 innings of strong pitching out of freshman Will Kirby. Kirby walked just one hitter, struck out seven, and gave up four earned runs, picking up the win.
Clearwater Snaps Losing Streak
(3/3/12) Senior Brent Kirkley paced the Cougars to victory in the back end of the double header against Florida Christian College on Saturday. The two time All American threw a one-hit complete game, striking out nine.
Cougars Drop Another One Run Game
(3/3/12) The Cougars dropped their fifth one run game of the season in their conference opener versus Florida Christian College on Saturday afternoon at Frank Tack Park. Junior Kyle Leja dominated for Clearwater, throwing six complete innings, allowing no earned runs, and giving up just three hits.

(3/1/12) The Cougars fell behind early, creating a hole too big to climb out of Thursday night in the nightcap of the doubleheader at the Joe DiMaggio Complex.

Lions Bats Roar Tuesday Evening
(2/28/12) St. Leo jumped out early on a grand slam home run in the top of the first, and went on to score in every inning except for the sixth. They pounded out fifteen hits leading to a 16-2 victory at Southard Stadium.
Late Rally Not Enough for Clearwater
(2/25/12) Clearwater was one hit away from tying the game in the bottom of the seventh. The Cougars trailed 7-2 going into their last at bats, and scored four runs, leaving the tying run at third base.
Lions Rally in Last Inning to Win
(2/25/12) In game two of the three game series, the Cougars were three outs away from snapping their losing streak, but couldn't hang on. Five Lions hits and one Cougar error, led to a five run seventh inning, and a 7-4 lead.
FMU Spoils Cougars Early Lead
(2/24/12) The Cougars jumped out to an early lead behind starting pitcher Will Kirby but it wasn't enough as Florida Memorial's offense had timely hits throughout the game leading to a 9-3 victory in the series opener.

Cougars Lose Early Lead in Loss
(2/18/12) Clearwater traveled to St. Leo University Saturday evening at Thomas B. Southard Stadium. The Cougars took an early lead in the fourth inning after Senior Ethan Barba hit a three run home run over the left field fence, making the score 4-3.
Tritons Top Cougars 4-1
(2/16/12) Clearwater had a short road trip this evening as they took on Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Cougars took another loss after getting a quality start out of Freshman Will Kirby.
WIU Squeaks Past Clearwater 5-4
(2/14/12) Clearwater traveled to Babson Park, Florida to play on Webber International University's campus Tuesday night. The Cougars left the bases loaded in the ninth inning, losing 5-4.

(2/9/12) Clearwater Christian College baseball player Nathan Krouse was named the NCCAA Player of the Week for the week of January 30 -February 5, 2012.
Kirkley's Dominating Effort Not Enough
(2/11/12) Senior Brent Kirkley dominated the Bears lineup for five innings, striking out nine, and giving up just one earned run. His performance wasn't enough as the Cougars lost 12-1 in the final game of the weekend series.

Cougars Fall in Extra Inning Thriller
(2/4/11) In game two of the three game weekend series, it took extra innings to decide the winner. Starter Kyle Leja pitched seven strong innings, and turned it over to the bullpen for extras. The Cougars fell just short in a 3-2 loss.

Brent Kirkley Named National Pitcher of the Year
(5/26/11) Clearwater Christian College sophomore Brent Kirkley from Hamlet, NC, was recently named the 2011 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) DII National Pitcher of the Year for menís baseball.

(5/25/11) Senior Luke Harding from Washington, Michigan, was named the recipient of the Hank Burbridge Unlimited Potential Outstanding Christian Leadership Award.
