Cougars to Play for National Championship
(5/13/11) Clearwater Christian College defeated Dallas Christian College 8-6 to advance to the National Championship round of the NCCAA College World Series. The Cougars came from behind with a huge 5 run sixth inning to eliminate the Crusaders. Clearwater will play fellow South region rival Toccoa Falls College for the championship on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Cougars Advance on Vasquez Homer in Extra Innings
(5/12/11) Clearwater Christian College defeated Atlanta Christian College 5-4 in 10 innings to advance at the NCCAA D2 College World Series in Mason, Ohio. Tied at 3-3 in the top of the 10th inning, Matt Vasquez hit a dramatic 2 run home run to lift the Cougars to the win.
Atlanta Beats Clearwater in Second Regional Game
(4/30/2011) After a thrilling win the night before the Cougars knew they were facing a tough team that had been dominate most of the year. The storyline was almost identical to last years regional tournament. Clearwater came into the game having thrown 2 solid pitchers and lacking a third to get the job done as Kirkley has been inactive to start since the Toccoa Falls series back in March. Atlanta took advantage early opening up a 4-1 lead in the 1st inning. Once again Isaiah Marsh was called on for his third straight day of relief appearances. Marsh held Atlanta in check most of the game as the Cougars allowed only 3 runs the rest of the game. Marsh was replaced by the up and rising freshman pitcher Luke Brigham who finished off the final innings in a strong stance holding Atlanta to 7 runs. The solid outing by Atlanta's Jacob Moore kept Clearwater from getting any run support for the Cougars as they dropped yet another disappointing regional championship to the Chargers with a final score of 7-1.
Clearwater Wins at Baseball Regionals
(4/29/2011) The highly anticipated elimination game of the Regional Tournament came around with Atlanta Christian beating Toccoa Falls handily in the winner's game. Clearwater came in ready to go, starting freshman lefty Spencer Nunez on the mound in hopes that his continued strong performances would continue and get Clearwater into the championship game.
Toccoa Takes First Regional Game
(4/28/2011) The first game of the 2011 NCCAA South Regional Tournament went under way in dramatic fashion on Friday as Casey Nunez hit a huge shot over the left-center field wall for his first home run of the year, giving the Cougars an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Toccoa battled back with 2 runs in the bottom of the first as the Eagles continued their hot hitting for a 12-game winning streak, which they continued with Friday's game, winning 3-1.

(4/8/2011) Clearwater opened up their first series at NCAA II opponent, St. Leo University. Starting pitcher Spencer Nunez kept the Cougars in the game the first 4 innings, but several key hits by the Lions gave the home team a 5-0 lead that could not be overcome.

Great Pitching, Unfortunate Loss to Webber
(2/15/2011) The Cougars traveled to Webber International University for Tuesday's game, as the team looked for another win to start of the 2011 season. Key first inning at bats helped propel Clearwater to an early lead. Casey Nunez anchored the Cougars in batting with two big hits that kept the game close until the later innings. Pitching was once again the strength of the defense as Billy Couchenour had a great night on the mound, going 4 innings with 7 strikeouts.

(2/18/2011) The Cougars gave another great display of pitching talent at Friday's game against Northwood University. Freshman Kyle Baitz went 6 2/3 innings allowing only 2 runs. Going behind 2-0 in the first inning, the team battled back with several consecutive hits that put them back on top late into the game.

After a great first game in Saturday's double header against Ave Maria University, the Cougars looked to sophomore Josh Williams to add to the great pitching of the day. He put in one of his best performances of the season and gave the team a great chance to win against a hungry Ave Maria team. However, defense proved to be the difference with 3 costly errors in the 5th inning putting the game out of reach.
