(7/15/14) With the start of a new academic school year, Clearwater Christian College welcomes three new coaches.
Cougars Eliminated in South Regional Semi-Final
(5/10/14) After rain postponed the NCCAA South Regional Semi-Final matchup against Toccoa Falls College, the game got underway on Saturday morning at Point University. The Cougars and Eagles both faced elimination coming into the semi-final.
Cougars Advance to Regional Semi-Final After 4-3 Win
(5/9/14) Facing elimination after dropping the South Regional Opener to Shorter University 5-2, the Cougars sent sophomore Stephen Martin to the mound against Johnson University (FL). Coming into the game, Clearwater was 4-1 on the year against the Suns.
Hawks Top Cougars 5-2 in South Regional Opener
(5/8/14) Clearwater opened the NCCAA South Regional tournament on Thursday afternoon as the #3 seed, squaring off against Shorter University, the #2 seed. The game was tied 0-0 going into the bottom of the sixth and then the Hawks plated two runs to take the lead.
Cougars Sweep Twin Bill On The Road
(4/26/14) After coming off a 5-1 win in game one, the Cougars were in hopes of ending the regular season with another win before entering the NCCAA South Regional Tournament.
Cougars Snap Skid Against Suns
(4/26/14) The baseball team traveled to Johnson University (FL) on Saturday afternoon for the final two regular season contests. The Cougars entered the twin bill with an edge in the season series 2-1 against the Suns. The maroon and black got on top right away with a run in the first inning.
Titans Win 3rd Annual Cross-Town Showdown
(4/19/14) Clearwater squared off with St. Petersburg College on Saturday afternoon at Jack Russell Stadium for the 3rd Annual Mayor's Cup. After the first two years saw pitching duels, the Titans changed the tone this year by plating runs in seven of their eight offensive frames.
Cougars Drop Friday's Contest to Suns
(4/18/14) Clearwater traveled to Kissimmee, Florida for an afternoon game on Friday afternoon at Johnson University. In a game that lasted over four and a half hours due to a rain delay, the Suns outlasted the Cougars 15-5.
Tritons Win Season Series After Cougars Fall 7-1 Thursday Night
(4/17/14) Clearwater traveled to the Turley Athletic Complex at Eckerd College on Thursday evening for a rescheduled game from a rainout back on April 8. After the Cougars jumped out to a 1-0 lead, the Tritons scored seven unanswered runs en route to a 7-1 win.
Royals Two Big Innings Enough to Overtake Cougars
(4/15/14) The maroon and black traveled to Lake Wales on Tuesday afternoon against Warner University. After losing a 5-4 contest back in February in Clearwater, the Cougars were in hopes of splitting the season series and snapping their three game skid.
Toccoa Falls Sweeps Series in Georgia
(4/12/14) Clearwater looked to salvage the series in Georgia with at least one win but couldn't overcome Toccoa Falls offense, but fell 9-4 in the game three of the weekend.
Clearwater's Rally Not Enough in One Run Loss
(4/12/14) The series resumed on Saturday afternoon at Toccoa Falls College as Clearwater looked to gain an edge in the series. The Cougars trailed 6-2 in the top of the seventh inning and put together a rally, but fell short 6-5.
Eagles Take First Game of Weekend 13-3
(4/11/14) Clearwater traveled to Toccoa Falls College for the first of a three game series on Friday afternoon in Georgia. With the game tied 2-2, the Eagles put together an eight-run sixth inning to take a commanding lead, putting it out of reach for the Cougars.
Tonight's Game at Eckerd Moved to Thursday, April 17
(4/8/14) The Cougars were scheduled to travel to St. Petersburg to play a midweek game against Eckerd College. A lot of rain has come through the area and has postponed tonight's game to next Thursday, April 17 at 6:00pm, still to be played at the Turley Athletic Complex on the campus of Eckerd College.
Maroon and Black Win Series After Doubleheader Sweep At PHSC
(4/5/14) The Cougars trailed in the first thirteen of the sixteen innings played of the series heading into game three of the weekend, but with the series tied at 1-1. CCC turned the tables and jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back as they swept the doubleheader at Pasco-Hernando State College on Saturday afternoon.
Six-Run Fifth Inning Propels Clearwater to 9-4 Win
(4/5/14) Clearwater traveled to New Port Richey, Florida to play a doubleheader this afternoon against Pasco-Hernando State College to finish the weekend series. Clearwater trailed 4-0 heading into the top of the fifth inning, but the maroon and black plated six runs in the inning, including a two run blast over the right field wall by sophomore Emmanuel Chmielewski.
CCC Drops Series Opener Against PHSC 10-5
(4/4/14) Clearwater hosted Pasco-Hernando State College on Friday night for the first of a three game series this weekend. PHSC jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and never gave it up over the course of the game.
#22 SEU Sweeps Midweek Twin Bill
(4/1/14) In the night cap at Ted A. Broer Stadium, Southeastern University broke the game open in the fourth inning and rolled past the Cougars 11-3.
#22 Fire Rally Late to Top Cougars 5-4
(4/1/14) Clearwater traveled to Lakeland, Florida to play a doubleheader against NAIA nationally ranked #22 Southeastern University. The Cougars entered Tuesday's games with an 11-16 record and winners of the past two contests, while the Fire came in with a 29-12 record.
Series Finale With TTU Washed After Four Innings
(3/29/14) Clearwater hosted Tennessee Temple University for game three of the weekend on Saturday morning at Jack Russell Stadium for four innings before rain storms swept through the area and cancelled the game.

(3/28/14) In game two on Friday afternoon, Clearwater received their second complete game of the day, this time from sophomore Stephen Martin.
Baseball Ends Losing Skid Behind Kirby's Shut Out
(3/28/14) Entering Friday morning, the Cougars came in on a five game losing streak. The weekend series was originally scheduled to start on Friday night, but with rain in the forecast, it started on Friday morning with two games slated to play. Tennessee Temple University entered the series with a 6-12 record.
Tigers Pitching Shuts Out Cougars On The Road
(3/26/14) Clearwater traveled to J.P. Small Memorial Field in Jacksonville, Florida for a midweek contest against Edward Waters College. Wednesday night's game was the first game since March 15th for the Cougars. The maroon and black only collected two hits and couldn't push any runs across in the 5-0 loss.
Baseball's Midweek Contest at Florida Memorial University Rained Out
(3/18/14) Clearwater was scheduled for a midweek game at Florida Memorial University this afternoon, but it has now been washed due to rain storms in the Miami area. No makeup date has been scheduled.

(3/15/14) Clearwater couldn't muster together any runs against visiting Toccoa Falls College in game one of the doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Frank Tack Park.
St. Francis Cruises Past Clearwater 11-3
(3/14/14) St. Francis University (IN) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and held the advantage for the whole game, eventually pulling out a 11-3 victory and dropping Clearwater to 9-13 overall.
Alderson-Broaddus Snaps Cougars Win Streak
(3/11/14) Clearwater entered Tuesday night's game against Alderson-Broaddus University (WV) with a five game winning streak. Early on, it looked like the maroon and black would have a good chance to continue the streak after taking a 3-0 lead, but the Battlers were able to put across nineteen runs on seventeen hits, and scored in each of the last four innings.

(3/8/14) In game two against Johnson University (FL) on Saturday afternoon, the Cougars received nine runs on twelve hits behind senior Kyle Leja's complete game on the hill.

(3/8/14) Johnson University (FL) traveled to Clearwater on Saturday afternoon for a doubleheader at Frank Tack Park. The Cougars combined for nine hits, three free passes, and ten stolen bases.
Cougars Win 4-2 Behind Kirby's Complete Game
(3/7/14) Clearwater hosted Ohio Valley University (WV) on Friday night at Frank Tack Park. The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth, the Scots tied it in the top of the seventh, and Clearwater plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth, before heading into the ninth.
Edwards Walk Off Triple Finishes 13-12 Thriller
(3/4/14) In game two there were a combined twenty-nine hits and twenty-five runs between the two teams. The Cougars trailed 12-10 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, creating an exciting finish at Frank Tack Park.
Cougars Roar Past Grace in Game One 8-4
(3/4/14) Grace College (IN) traveled to Clearwater on Tuesday evening for a midweek doubleheader at Frank Tack Park. The Cougars offense plated eight runs on eleven hits behind quality pitching, which led to an 8-4 victory.
Cougars Drop Game Three to Yellow Jackets 9-0
(3/1/14) In game three of the series, Cedarville scored nine runs on nine hits, and got a complete game outing from starting pitcher Sean Larkin. The Cougars mustered just three hits and couldn't get a run to cross the plate.
Cedarville Tops Clearwater 3-2 After Another Last Inning Rally
(3/1/14) The Yellow Jackets came from behind once again in the last inning to claim a 3-2 win. The Cougars took a 2-1 lead into the top of the seventh, but Cedarville pushed two runs across to take a 3-2 advantage, which remained as the final.
Yellow Jackets Rally Late to Sting Cougars 4-3
(2/28/14) Game one of the three game weekend series against Cedarville University took place Friday evening at Jack Russell Stadium. The Cougars held a 3-1 lead from the bottom of the second until the top of the ninth, when the Yellow Jackets plated three runs to take a 4-3 lead, which resulted in the final score.
Cougars Collect Sixteen Hits in 11-10 Slugfest Win
(2/25/14) Clearwater traveled back to Heart of Florida Field on the campus of Webber International University for the second straight week. In a game that had three lead changes, five crooked numbered innings, twenty-five hits, and twenty-one runs plated, the Cougars edged a one run victory 11-10.
Rain Washes Doubleheader Scheduled for Today at Edward Waters College
(2/22/14) Severe thunderstorms passed through the Jacksonville area over the past day and the field is not playable at Edward Waters College. The Cougars will resume their schedule at Webber International University on Tuesday night at 7:00pm.
St. Leo Routes Cougars 7-1
(2/21/14) Clearwater traveled to St. Leo University for the first match up between these two teams since 2012. The Lions entered the game 6-2 and were coming off a 9-5 victory against Florida Southern earlier in the week. The Cougars were looking to bounce back from the 3-2 walk off loss against Webber International University.

(2/15/14) On Saturday morning the Cougars squared off with nationally ranked Ave Maria University at Bowie’s Ballpark for game two of the three game series. Coming into game two, the Gyrenes lead the series 1-0.
Cougars Fall to #25 Gyrenes in Series Opener
(2/14/14) Clearwater traveled to Bowie's Ballpark on the campus of Ave Maria University for the first of a three game series earlier this afternoon. The Gyrenes were ranked 25th nationally in the NAIA Preseason Coach's Poll, which still stands, and entered the contest with an 8-3 record.
Cougars Rally in Ninth Inning, Fall One Run Short
(2/11/14) Clearwater hosted Warner University on a beautiful Tuesday evening at Frank Tack Park. Warner broke out for four runs in the top of the second inning and added one more in the eighth. The Cougars had a chance to tie the game in the bottom half of the ninth with the tying run ninety feet away, but fell just short.

(2/8/14) Heading into the third game of the weekend between Hiwassee College and Clearwater, the series was knotted at 1-1. After a pair of pitcher's duels in the first two games, the Cougars scored seven runs behind Senior Kyle Leja's complete game shutout in a 7-0 win.

(1/31/14) Sylvester Field, on the campus of Northwood University, is under water and will not be playable for the three games series this weekend.
Game One at Northwood University Cancelled
(1/31/14) Game one of the three game set at Northwood University has been cancelled due to constant rainstorms in the West Palm Beach area. The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow morning for the double header originally scheduled with the Seahawks.
The first pitch is scheduled for 11:00am at Sylvester Field, on the campus of Northwood University.
Trojans Spoil Cougars Opening Night
(1/28/14) Taylor University came down south early for their season opener, as the Cougars hosted them on opening night. The Trojans scored thirteen runs on twelve hits in the game, and broke the 0-0 tie in the top of the fourth inning.
Cougars Baseball Gearing Up for 2014 Season
(1/22/14) The Cougars baseball team, coming off a 4th place finish at the NCCAA DII College World Series in 2013, are preparing for opening day on January 28th against Taylor University, which will be a good test right away.

Cougars Baseball Welcomes Fifteen New Faces to Campus
(09/17/13) Coach Rebandt was excited to welcome fifteen new faces to the college campus and baseball program as they arrived just over a couple weeks ago. The players come from as far west as California and north as New Jersey.
