Homecoming 2008

All of the alumni and their families are invited to Homecoming 2008 scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2008. Here are the day's activities:

Alumni Baseball Game

The 2008 Cougar baseball game against alumni is scheduled for 12 noon at the Frank Tack Field located on 1967 N. Hercules Road in Clearwater. From the College, take Gulf-to-Bay Blvd west to Hercules Road (at Clearwater High School) and turn right. The field is about 2½ miles north on Hercules, just after the Sunset Point Road intersection.

This year we are debuting our alumni jerseys. Alumni players should contact Ben Puckett at benpuckett@clearwater.edu to let him know if you are playing and to give him your jersey size.

Alumni/Faculty Reception

The Alumni/Faculty Reception is a good opportunity to meet alumni and faculty on an informal basis. This year's reception is in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Lexie Wiggins and Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Deckert who will be retiring at the end of the 2007-2008 school year. The Wiggins will have completed 15 years of service and the Deckerts 12 years. Both couples will be recognized at the reception and during the half-time of the basketball game. The reception will be held in Steele 111 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Cougars vs. Pensacola Christian College

Homecoming has always centered on the annual men's game against Pensacola Christian College. The game will start at 7 p.m. Registered alumni and their families will be admitted free-of-charge. Come support this year's Cougar men's team against the Eagles.

Recognition of Alumni by Class

We will be returning to a tradition of recognizing our five-year, ten-year, twenty-year, and thirty-year graduates from the classes of 2003, 1998, 1988, and 1978. Alumni from these classes will be recognized at half-time and their names entered into a drawing for some really exciting prizes.

All alumni who plan to attend are encouraged to register their intentions to participate this year by contacting the alumni office by e-mail at alumni@clearwater.edu or by calling 727-726-1153 ext. 637. Be sure to give your name, year of graduation, and an e-mail address. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Ben Puckett at benpuckett@clearwater.edu.
