As a music education major, I have been challenged much in my walk with the Lord. The faculty members within the department are an excellent example of what a walk with God ought to look like from day to day. As a future teacher, I have been challenged to make Christ the center of my classroom. As a musician, I have been encouraged to use music to bring glory to God. Every piano lesson begins with prayer. The Lord has provided numerous opportunities for service at my local church using music. As a Christian, I believe that it is my responsibility, and my privilege, to be as musically prepared as I can be to serve my Savior.
