ROTC Clearwater Christian College students interested in a ROTC program with the Air Force, Army, Marines, or Navy may do so under an agreement with each military branch and the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa. The curriculum includes 12-16 hours of classroom instruction, appropriate physical fitness activities, leadership labs, and field training experiences conducted by active duty officers over a two or four year period. More info...The two-year or Basic Course is open to most college students and does include required military service. The four-year or Advanced Course is designed to prepare the individual who desires to become a professional military officer in the Reserve, National Guard, or Active service.
Students participating in either program will be provided uniforms, books, and course materials free-of-charge. Students participating in the four-year or Advanced Course can qualify for two-year, three-year, and four-year scholarships that cover tuition, books, lab fees, and a stipend for other living expenses. Students completing the Advanced Course will be commissioned as an officer and be required to serve a minimum term in their service branch upon graduation.
Clearwater Christian College students register for ROTC courses through the College during normal course registration. All ROTC course instruction and leadership laboratories are conducted through the specific ROTC office at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa.
