Humanities
The humanities course of study incorporates the central expressions of human values including language, literature, philosophy, and artistic culture.
Knowledge of humanities enables students to understand the present and the future from a historical perspective. Studying humanities from a
Christian worldview allows students to put what they learn into a Biblical perspective on life, career, and ministry. Students also develop
skills in critical and analytical thinking, reading and interpretation, and creative writing. These insights and skills provide a foundation
for careers in many different professions and for productive and rewarding lives as educated citizens.

Admissions Requirements
While there are no additional admissions requirements, those enrolling in the Humanities major are expected to maintain a minimum of a C average
in their major classes. Humanities majors are also expected to possess a love for the arts, history, and literature in order to understand the
past and its influences on our present and future society.
