Church Ministries

Serving God effectively in one's church and home requires solid preparation and training. A Church Ministries degree equips the individual to do the work of the ministry whether it is in pastoral leadership, providing support ministry to the local church or Christian ministry, or reaching one's family or friends for Christ.

Why choose Church Ministries at Clearwater Christian?

  1. Faculty who help you find your place of service in the body of Christ

  2. Academically accomplished and widely experienced faculty with a high view of Scripture pointing students to the living Christ

  3. Nondenominationally centered with commitment to serve the entire Body of Christ

  4. Continually encouraged to answer the question "What does it mean to live out the gospel and to serve Christ in our day?"

Admissions Requirements

While there are no additional admissions requirements, those enrolling in the Church Ministries major are expected to maintain a minimum of a C average in their Bible and Church Ministries classes. Church Ministry majors are also expected to equip themselves for effective support ministry for the local church and to possess a love for people.

Unique Opportunities

Church Ministries majors enjoy opportunities to study abroad such as the 2008 trip to Greece, to participate annually in research excursions to the Scriptorium at the Holy Land Experience, and to view missions firsthand through annual overseas trips. On-campus seminary recruitment days each fall provide regular opportunities to investigate future continued educational training beyond the undergraduate experience. Recent department-driven Islamic community outreach allows hands-on experience with individuals from different cultures.
