B.S. Global Nursing Ministries
Are you ready to see the Clearwater Difference in the area of Nursing?
Clearwater Christian College takes the nursing program to the next level by combining two and a half years of core liberal arts coursework taught on campus
from a distinctive Biblical worldview and one year at Christian International School of Healthcare Professions (CISHP). This combination allows the nursing
student to graduate with two degrees-an A.S. in Nursing and a B.S. in Global Nursing Ministries.
Through the biblically aligned liberal arts core, the student receives an ethical and spiritual foundation upon which a successful nursing career will be built. This program provides nursing students with the tools necessary for continued academic pursuits, spiritual growth, and ministry vocation.

Technology Institute (ATI) tests are associated with certain courses in order to prove competency.
Academic Partnership
To accomplish this program, Clearwater Christian College is partnering with Christian International School of Healthcare Professions (CISHP) in Largo, Florida.
CISHP is an international Christian ministry that provides competent health care education through dedicated, compassionate professionals.
During the first two and a half years of study, students complete coursework with our CCC faculty on our Clearwater campus
before completing the nursing
sequence through CISHP. The CISHP and CCC partnership allows CCC students the best of both worlds-distinctive liberal arts with Bible preparation and single-focused vocational preparation from a Biblical worldview
with dedicated, born-again faculty.
Why Global Nursing Ministry through Clearwater Christian College?
Just as the need for competent nurses for the future can be easily proved, the case for Christian nurses who demonstrate Christ-likeness through
compassionate care with evangelistic intent can be successfully argued. The ability to reach people for Christ is heightened when genuine care is
shown and the Gospel message is shared and lived. This service to mankind can be performed anywhere in numerous hospitals, doctor's offices,
nursing homes, clinics, and other medical facilities in our United States or in facilities or mission endeavors throughout the world. Our
liberal arts core and Bible minor equips you to meet the needs of the body, the mind and the soul. The baccalaureate degree with a regionally
accredited status will enable you to pursue further higher education and secure service opportunities unavailable to those who do not possess
such. You will be receiving more than just a vocational training-you will be receiving an education from a distinct Christian liberal arts
institution that will enhance future opportunities.
Admission Requirements
In order to be accepted into the first two and a half years of the B.S. program in Global Nursing Ministries, the applicant must meet the general
admission requirements for acceptance into Clearwater Christian College and declare Global Nursing Ministries as their academic major. Consult the
College catalog and website for further information.
To proceed into the last year of the nursing program, students must complete a CISHP application for admission, pass a physical examination and
appropriate background check/fingerprint screening, provide a satisfactory score on the TEAS test, and comply with other CISHP program policies. These
admission requirements must be completed and found satisfactory by mid-term of the academic term (fall or spring) prior to the desired term of entry into
your final year of study. Once the student completes all of the above requirements and the liberal arts portion with a cumulative GPA of
2.0 on a 4.00 scale, CISHP will notify the candidate of his or her acceptance status.
CISHP accepts new students into their program bi-yearly. Once begun, the student will be continuously enrolled through consecutive terms until program
requirements are completed.

Question and Answer
Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions regarding the nursing program at Clearwater Christian College:
Can I transfer into this program from another college or university? Yes. CCC will accept transfer students into the first two-year segment
of this program on the same basis as any other transfer student (see Catalog). However, at least 32 hours of the required credits must be earned at CCC
to qualify for the B.S. degree. All nursing coursework must be taken at CISHP.
How are fees charged and financial aid awarded? All courses are in the CCC Catalog, and registration and payments are all made at CCC. Textbooks are
available online for the nursing courses (See CISHP website). Once a student begins the nursing sequence,
CCC scholarships will not be available.
What degrees will I have when I complete my program? When completed, you will have earned an A.S. in Nursing from CISHP and B.S. in Global
Nursing Ministries from Clearwater Christian College.
What accreditations are associated with this program? CCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
to award Bachelor of Science degrees. CISHP is not accredited by the Commission on Colleges and the accreditation of CCC does not extend to or include CISHP or
its students. Although CCC accepts certain course work in transfer towards certification from CISHP and collaborates with CISHP for generation of course credits
or program credentials, other colleges and universities may or may not accept this work in transfer, even if it appears on a transcript from CCC. This decision
is made solely by the institution considering the possibility of accepting such credits.
What nursing license can I earn at the end of the program? Upon completion of this program, you are eligible to sit for the State of
Florida's Board of Nursing NCLEX-RN exam to qualify to be licensed as a RN or Registered Nurse within the state. Nurses are able to work throughout the United
States as a result of reciprocity agreements between individual state boards. Check with state requirements to determine how this applies to your Florida license.
Can I reside in the residence halls at CCC while I pursue my nursing portion at CISHP? Yes, if you meet the requirements for residence hall living
outlined in the student handbook. The College will dedicate appropriate living accommodations to nursing students to assist with their unique program requirements.
Does this program prepare individuals for nursing in strictly ministry related vocations? While it is the heartbeat of the College and CISHP to
equip individuals for full-time missionary service, your training and the degrees you earn at CCC qualify you to pursue nursing in both the secular and
religious world. The healthcare field has always been a means of reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ-like ministry through nursing
demonstrates Christ's love and serves as a means to open hearts for the spiritual healing that only comes through the Gospel. Your training and degrees will
give you both options of service.
Why would I choose CCC's Global Nursing Ministries program over a typical associate degree program in Nursing? Our Global Nursing Ministries program
provides the
following unique benefits:
o The core liberal arts education missing in typical nursing programs,
o An academic minor in Bible,
o A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution,
o Education from a distinctive Christian worldview,
o Technologically advanced skills labs on CISHP campus,
o Clinical instruction in various local hospitals and healthcare facilities,
and
o CCC can facilitate your campus tour of CISHP
