I can say that teaching at CCC is a blessing principally because it appears to be what God wants me to do at this stage of my life. Other things that come to mind include, first of all, the administration, which conducts themselves in a thoroughly Christian fashion. This is an absolutely new thing in my professional experience that spans 46 years at this point. Second, I have enjoyed the spiritual and intellectual fellowship that I have experienced with a number of my colleagues. While this has been possible to a limited degree in other institutions, I have never found it to such an extent elsewhere. Third, the general moral and spiritual atmosphere of the college is a decided relief. I can, for example, leave my office door unlocked even when I am not in it without concern. Above all of these things, though, this stands out: This is more than just a job. It is indeed a ministry and a most worthwhile one.
