Staff - Bookstore Manager Clearwater Christian College announces the position of Bookstore Manager.

Responsibilities: We are seeking an individual to manage the Center Court Bookstore including day to day operations, development of an online store, inventory management, worker management, and all facility oversight. The individual will work with a wide range of constituencies including, but not limited to, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents. This individual reports to the Director of Auxiliary Services.

Qualified candidates should have business management skills, computer literacy, basic accounting skills, and a customer service aptitude.

Staff – Director of Guidance Clearwater Christian College announces the position of Director of Guidance.

Qualifications: The candidate should possess a Master’s degree, preferably in counseling or education. The candidate must have excellent written and oral skills, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies including, but not limited to, students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and employers.

Responsibilities: The Director of Guidance will work closely with both students and faculty to support educational and career counseling needs. The Director of Guidance works with students with declared learning disabilities, enables students with undecided or undeclared majors to decide on a major course of study, instructs students in designing resumes and preparing for the interviews. He or she will also assist with internship and post baccalaureate job placement. More specifically, the candidate will assist in confirming the documentation for learning disabilities and facilitating the support necessary for success and will oversee and direct career placement activities including the job fair and teacher recruitment conference. This individual will report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and work closely with the Office of Student Life. A complete job description is available upon request.

Staff – Confidential Assistant to the Vice President for Student Life Clearwater Christian College announces the position of Confidential Assistant to the Vice President for Student Life.

Qualifications: The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong computer literacy, and excellent communications and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be able to analyze tasks and prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities: The Confidential Assistant will be responsible for the efficient organization of the Student Life office. He or she will report directly to the Vice President of Student Life and serve as liaison for Student Life with all parties. The confidential assistant will have daily opportunities to disciple students, communicate with parents, and support the entire Student Life team.

Faculty - Associate Professor of Exercise and Sport Science Clearwater Christian College announces the position of Associate Professor of Exercise and Sport Science that begins in August of 2008.

CCC Department of Exercise and Sport Science is seeking a full time faculty member who is committed to a biblical perspective in presenting teaching methods and content. He or she must have a consciousness of and conscientiousness in presenting Christian thought in the context of the current age and the material under study. Qualifications include teaching a wide range of courses in the Exercise and Sport Science Department including, but not limited to: Concepts of Fitness, Personal Training, Theory of Teaching Group Exercise, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Strength and Conditioning, Individual and Team Sport Skills.

This individual should be able to teach a variety of courses in the ESS field and also provide specialization in the Wellness/Fitness area. Certification from ACSM, NSCA, or similar association is highly desired. Coaching is also an option as a portion of the faculty member’s load.

Earned doctorate in Exercise Science or related discipline preferred but Masters considered. College teaching experience also highly recommended.

Staff – Security Officer Clearwater Christian College announces the position of Security Officer.

Qualifications: The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with training and experience in law enforcement. A Security Officer license and a Class G Firearm license are required.

Responsibilities: The Security Officer will be involved in all areas of campus safety and security. Under the direction of the Chief of Security, the applicant will be responsible for campus security, maintaining security records, logging incident reports, and supervising student workers. Work schedule will include nights and weekends.

Staff - Communications Coordinator Clearwater Christian College announces the position of Communications Coordinator.

Qualifications: The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, communications, or English, experience in writing for print and web, excellent communications and inter-personal skills, and analytical and creative experience preferred.

Responsibilities: The Communications Coordinator would be responsible for promoting the vision and message of the College by creating and producing print and electronic publications. He or she will be responsible for interviewing college personnel and guests, performing research of source materials to obtain and verify facts, analyzing sources for accuracy of information and implementing most effective approach to material. He or she would report directly to the Dean of Institutional Advancement.

Faculty - Assistant Professor of Foreign Languages Clearwater Christian College announces a part-time position of Assistant Professor of Foreign Languages that begins in August of 2008.

Responsibilities: The candidate must be committed to excellence in teaching, and will be responsible for teaching beginning as well as intermediate levels of foreign languages and cultural diversity. French is preferred, but German or Italian would meet our need. If Spanish is also an area of expertise, the position could be full-time. Through the college’s telecommunications link, it is possible that these courses could be taught by distance learning.

Qualifications: A master’s degree is required but a doctorate is preferred. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
